Why is Soulja Boy So popular?

You turn on the tv, radio, or sports events, and you just can't stop hearing Soulja Boy everywhere. Why is that damn song so catchy and why can't the kiddies get enough of Souja Boy. Was it pure luck, timing, or is he just that good.
Soulja Boy is good at what he does, but what does he do? He gives the kids exactly what they are wanting in music and, to put it simply that's just fun. To many artists get to philosophical with their writing styles and brand of music. It's cool that the stars are aligned to make you shine, but i don't really believe many children care. Maybe you say to yourself "I'm not writing for the kids". Thats fine, but don't toss out those that do like those all white air force ones you wore to the club last night. Truth be told we need his brand of music in the rap game right now. Poetry is cool, but even myself (which i consider a true fan of real hip hop) don't want to hear enlightened rap at all times. Sometimes you just want to have a good time, dance a little bit, and just not listen to lyrics. Is Soulja Boy a genius? Hell no, but he is smart. He marketed the hell out of himself via the internet. The viral world definitely served as a catalyst to springboard a young kid to achieve his dreams as a rap star.
Though 99% of the world still have no clue what "Super soak Dat Hoe " or "Crank the Roosevelt" means, they still can't help but do the dance. When you've got Beyonce doing a dance you've created then you've officially arrived. His music does get annoying at times, but then again who's doesn't.
